Wedding Cake: To fondant or not to fondant?
Here is the age old wedding cake debate, and another tirade from me.  I think we can all agree that wedding cakes should be beautiful.  It is very common to use fondant on your cake to give it clean, elegant lines.  Fondant is a “thick, creamy sugar paste”.  It can be dyed to almost any color and no one can deny that it looks very lovely when done well.  My major problem is the taste...

Fabric Flowers vs. Live Flowers
I am the third child of my immediate family, and seventh of all of my cousins to get married.  Add to that several close friends who have or will beat me to the alter by the time my wedding comes around, I have been to quite a few weddings in the past few years.  They have all been beautiful from DYI in a backyard to my sister’s fancy schmancy wedding at the Palmer House in downtown Chicago....
